WNS have passed the Constructionline pre-qualification process for the fourth year running.
Constructionline is the Uk's largest register for pre-qualification contractors and consultants, in terms of efficiency, time and cost saving and best practice. The qualification process is to Government standard.
WNS have successfully completed the installation of 512no. Brand Rex Cat6 cables, plus fibre optic and voice cable backbone within timescale for a Government regional office.
WNS have successfully completed the installation of 165no. wireless access points across 18 floors of two buildings. All the work was completed out of normal business hours. The project involved meticulous planning and tight timescales to ensure that the business was not put at any risk. The project was completed on time with positive reports posted by all involved on the client’s IT team with whom WNS were working closely with throughout the project.

John was previously a Senior site supervisor for WNS with 17 years experience in the IT industry. John will be involved with managing structured cabling installation projects & maintaining relationships with our clients & Suppliers.
WNS recently installed ADC Krone Cat 6 cabling and Brand Rex optical fibre cables at S4C Television centre.
134 Krone Cat 6 outlets were installed from a new cabinet to floor boxes and dado trunking on the ground floor. The existing 40 Cat cables were disconnected and re-routed to new locations, 4 x 12 port Cat 6 harness links were installed between the new cabinet in the Edit Car Room.
16 core OM1 Brand Rex fibre links were installed between 2 cabinets on the ground and one on the first floor.
WNS were recommended to undertake this project because they had successfully installed 639 ADC Krone Cat 6 cables during the previous refurbishment some 18 months ago.
Working closely with S4C Television I.T. staff the project was completed on time with minimum disruptin to the smooth running of the television studio staff.
During the past 18 months WNS has installed structured cabling at the QED building as part of a phased refurbishment programme.
New Multicores and fibres were installed from the central server room to four wings of the two storey building, with new cabinets located at each wing.
At the server room the existing voice panels were removed and replaced with Brand Rex 50-port panels, to minimize disruption this work was undertaken during a weekend.
Regular progress meetings were held with the Government representative, consultants and the main contactor to ensure that each phase was completed on time with minimum disruption to the office staff.
Two more wings have recently been completed bringing the total quantities installed to:
• 11,360 metres of Brand Rex Cat 5 cable.
• 55,600 metres of Brand Rex Cat 6 cable.
• 600 metres of Brand Rex 16 core optical fibre cable.
• 500 metres of 100 pair multicore cable.
• 500 meters of 50 pair multicore cable.
• 7 x 47U Prism cabinets.
WNS have successfully completed the installation of an AMP Netconnect cabling system in the London Sony offices which included the prestigious office of Simon Cowell.
WNS have successfully completed the optical fibre backbone infrastructure upgrade between two London offices of a major international law firm based at London Bridge.
WNS were tasked with removing the existing OS1, OM1 & OM2 links and replacing them with approximately 1.5km of new Brand Rex OS2 & OM3 optical fibre cable. This upgrade was required to meet the demands of a modern day office environment as the business expands and data transfer speed rates become more critical. The project involved meticulous planning and tight timescales to ensure that the business was not put at any risk. The project was completed on time with positive reports posted by all involved on the client’s IT team with whom WNS were working closely with throughout the project.

Systimax CAT6 outlets and backbone cabling for an American Bank in Rome, the installation was completed within 1 week including the user migration to the new cabling system. WNS were awarded the project by a Hertfordshire based IT company because we are their preferred Structured cabling service partner and are now entering the 12th year of this partnership.
WNS have now entered their third year of a relationship with a local government over which time we have had continual presence on site. During this period WNS have been engaged in the upgrade of the LAN infrastructure from legacy CAT5 & OM1 to Brand Rex CAT6 plus & OM3. As part of this process we are upgrading the legacy telephony cabling to integrate with the new cabling system. As the infrastructure replacement continues, our role on site has expanded to include the daily support of new new infrastructure alongside the resident IT team.

Systimax CAT6a 24 port copper panel to panel and harness links and 96 no. equipment cabinets for a large Financial institution in their new Data Centre in London. The installation was completed on time within a 6 week programme. WNS were awarded the project by a large London based IT company because we are their preferred Structured cabling supplier and are now entering the 14th year of this relationship.
WNS have successfully completed the installation of 1356 CAT6 Systimax outlets / 124 fibre optic links & 96 copper backbone links for a major Bank in Amsterdam. All fly leading, patching & user migration was also completed by WNS.

The Achilles UVDB verification audit and assessment focuses on risk critical issues and provides demonstrable compliance to Safety, Health, Environment & Quality (SHEQ) requirements. The qualification is assessed annually to ensure that the high compliance standards are continually met.
